River L. Ramirez (they/them) is a Philly based experimental artist. A Miami native they have settled in a quaint Victorian home with their black cat Casper. Comedian, painter, musician, performer, storyteller, spiritualist, ritualist, activist, and writer. They wrote, produced and directed the comedy special program “Pervert Everything” for Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim produced by PFFR.
They have been commissioned for original performances by Baryshnikov Arts Center, Gibney, Ars Nova Vision Residency program, and MOMA and Moma PS1. In 2021 they debuted their solo musical show “GHOSTFOLK” at the Wiesbaden Biennale in Germany with musical artists Lou Tides and Sarah Galdes. In 2022 they toured with Will Butler and The Sister Squares.
They have written for Cracked, Cosmopolitan, High Maintenance, Bird Girl, The National Lampoon Radio Hour and Gonzalo Cordova’s Women Wearing Shoulder Pads, out now on Adult swim. Named one of Comedy Central’s Up Next Comedians for 2018, and Forbes 30 under 30. They are a cohort of 2026’s Hermitage Residency.
